A book needs a big page.

HBI is my high-school art book, bound as a flip-book sized for a desktop screen. It does not open on a phone - please visit on a computer, where the charcoal pages turn properly.

Plane, Line and Shapes

Grade 9

One Spring Day (Charcoal/2006)

My first artwork ever created, I was 16 at the time, going through puberty.
I was sensitive and stressed, everything gave me stress.
In a spring day, inside a tiny art studio, I found peace.

First Day of School (Charcoal/2006)

I liked the schooling they did at the art studio, enjoyed it very much so that I attended regularly.
this is my second art piece, through erasing black charcoal dusts off the drawings,
I felt my stress also blown away.

Tall and Lonely (2006/Charcoal)

This is my third Charcoal piece, consumed more than 10 hours to finish.
My love for the nature began with this tree infront of my house,
It started as an assignment from the art studio, by the time I was done
the tree began its fall, started losing leaves. The fall symbolized new start.

Angry Eyes (2007/Charcoal&Sanguine)

First time tried Sanguine charcoal, the red highlight was a massive upgrade.
My learning process was a smooth sail, my stress started to reveal itself through artworks.
During this stage, my notes were filled with doodles. Drawing was the only thing in my mind.

Shut Up (2007/Indian Ink)

First time in school, this was my first Art work as a Spartan.
The assignment was to draw zips, and create patterns around it.
My perception of zip, was extremely minimal. Zip up to shut it, zip down to open.

Power of Tension (2007/Graphite)

During the time I was drawing this piece, I was fully engaged in drawing.
This piece was created during my studies at the Art studio, the concept was to create power
in an art piece. Also required to have balance of power.

Power was in my hand, the power to draw, power to hold and power to release.
My power came from my hand, at least when I was drawing this piece, my hands were in full power.

Super Stars - three pieces (2007/Indian Ink)

My Highschool art teacher was Barbara Sunday during the time,
she was very famous during that time, Mrs.Sunday was the pillar of Sentinel Secondary.

After school, she invited female models to model for us.
My first nude drawing, she undestoodt highschool students are not mature enough to perceive
the beauty of human body, she told us to look at the body as curves and lines.

That is exactly what I managed to achieve, through connecting curve points, I found forms.
Mrs.Sunday highly priased my lines, which represented the waves of my emotion.

Nudists (2008/Crayon)

The nude drawings were extremly fascinating in my taste,
I started feeling the emotions in lines and curves, each with different endings.
Mrs.Sunday taught us how to do the Coin test,
Each time a tossed coin lands on surface of the artwork,
the covered surface had to have different curves and colors to crate more focal points.

This artwork was combination of both emotion and focal points, emotion created lines,
colors and lines filled up the focal points.

Composition and Balance

Grade 10

Self Portraits (2008/Various)

At age 17, I was full of confidence. My puberty was gone without trace.
I had great friends, started hanging out with people.

I was losing interest in drawing, since my stress was gone.
However, my art studio demanded me to draw two pieces of portraits.

By this time, I was already familiar with the drawing techniques.
At the same time, was able to produce expressive portraits.
Althought it was my first portrait work, I was able to give strong impact to the viewers.

My studio Art tutor was a graduate from Havard University. He was smart.
Almost as if was reading my mind like a book, trying to fill stories in it.

He gave me assignments, such as express four seasons with my Initial. and create six expressive artworks into a progressive cinema.

Soon after, I have realized my drawing skills could not express my emotions.
The limitation started driving me insane.

I was able to acquire the CompTIA license, yet still continued to study for New Media.
Most of my works were done by illustrator, version 3-4.

Art works consists mostly of Fashion Concept Designs made by illustrator.
I also started creating logos for real companies and communities.
I familiar with html coding, and once created my own shaw.ca webpage using notepad.
Not only webpages, but by using Google Sketchup 2007 version,
I was getting familiar with the concept of space.

End of Highschool (2009)

My Portfolio was accepted to two colleges, which I only applied to.
Fashion Institute of Technology and Emily Carr Institue of Art and Design.

Emily Carr was my answer, and I have found my ambition and motivation.
